Mechanical Seals

A mechanical seal is a device that helps join systems or mechanisms together by preventing leakage such as in a pumping system, containing pressure, or excluding contamination. The effectiveness of a seal is dependent on adhesion in the case of sealants and compression in the case of gaskets. Mechanical seals can withstand high operating pressure, temperature and shaft speeds and give longer life with less leakage. The greatest advantages of Mechanical seals is that handle all types of fluids including acids, salts and abrasive particles etc.
